Effective November 1, 2013, FedEx Ground and Air are cancelling their alcohol carrier licenses in North Dakota. All shipments of alcoholic beverages into North Dakota by FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Home Delivery will cease on 11/1/2013.
UPS is complying with the new regulation 5-01-16, and is a licensed alcohol carrier.

Montana’s new direct shipping law is in effect, revising the former process which previously required consumers to hold a Wine Connoisseurs License. Wineries that wish to ship table wine direct to consumers in Montana must hold a Foreign Winery license with a Direct Shipping Endorsement. Montana Code Annotated 2013- Definitions 16-1-106 (28) defines “table wine” as wine that contains not more than 16% alcohol by volume and includes cider.

As of December 4th, 2013, The Santa Barbara County Department of Planning and Development staff has concluded public comments on the revised draft of proposed county winery ordinance changes.
A preliminary ordinance is expected to be presented to the public in late February or early March of 2014 and will undergo an environmental review.
